Security when paying:
Payment by Dankort and visa/dankort over the internet is covered by a high level of security, and you should not fear that others can see your card information: In order for companies to be granted permission to receive card payments on the internet, they must have a redemption agreement with PBS (Pengeinstitutternes BetalingsSystemer), a specialist in electronic payment services. This agreement means that the company must fulfil specific requirements for security so that users do not become victims of fraud. When paying with your Dankort or visa/dankort over the internet, the information on the card will be encrypted so that others cannot read the numbers. This means that the numbers will be made illegible to unauthorised parties, who are unable, therefore, to intercept the card number while payment is being made. The technology behind this is called SSL (Secure Socket Layer), and this is the technology that encrypts the numbers.
