Unicef recognises Billund as a child-friendly municipality
UNICEF Child-Friendly Cities is a global network that brings together interest groups that want to make their cities more child-friendly. Due to the municipality’s strong focus on creating a child-friendly environment in the city, Unicef has now recognised Billund as Denmark’s first child-friendly municipality.

Children top of the agenda
Since 2010, Billund Municipality has been the Capital of Children, and local children have played a major role in making the city child-friendly. The focal points for the municipality are to create a good environment for learning through play, co-creation and meeting children's needs in general.
